About the event
Launching this fall at The Drawing Center, Voice of Space: UFOs and Paranormal Phenomena (on view October 17, 2025 – February 1, 2026) dives deep into the mysteries at the edge of perception, blending art, belief systems, and metaphysical speculation.
Inspired by René Magritte’s 1931 painting “Voice of Space”, which is featured in the exhibition, the show presents a bold mix of historical and contemporary works that engage with UFO sightings, spirit worlds, and metaphysical experiences. As government disclosures and popular media stoke renewed interest in extraterrestrial and supernatural phenomena, this exhibition provides an artistic lens on humanity’s enduring fascination with the unknown.
Highlights include:
Rare and visionary works by René Magritte, Sigmar Polke, Howardena Pindell, Shusaku Arakawa, Isa Genzken, and more
Historic Native American spirit drawings and speculative works by fringe thinkers and contemporary artists
Explorations of dimensional theory, religious iconography, and psychological symbolism
