Opening April 25, 2025, Di Donna Galleries on Madison Avenue presents The Surrealist Collage: Where Dreams and Reality Meet—an evocative exhibition curated in collaboration with Timothy Baum, one of the foremost authorities on Dada and Surrealism. This showcase brings together rare and captivating works from the giants of the Surrealist movement.
From André Breton to Man Ray, from Magritte to Miró, the exhibition traces how artists and poets used collage to dismantle logic and reassemble truth through the subconscious. Layering vintage photographs, printed media, and poetic fragments, they created dreamlike juxtapositions that reshaped the boundaries of art and thought.
