On view through August 3, 2026, The Three Perfections: Japanese Poetry, Calligraphy, and Painting from the Mary and Cheney Cowles Collection brings together over 160 extraordinary works spanning nearly a thousand years. Hosted in Galleries 223–232 at The Met Fifth Avenue, the exhibition honors the East Asian tradition of uniting poetry, calligraphy, and painting into a single expressive practice—known as the “Three Perfections.”
