About the event
Event Overview This fall, the Brooklyn Museum unveils “Seydou Keïta: A Tactile Lens,” the most expansive North American exhibition of the renowned Malian photographer’s work to date. From October 10, 2025, through March 8, 2026, visitors are invited to immerse themselves in nearly 275 works—from iconic black-and-white prints to never-before-seen portraits, personal artifacts, and vibrant textiles. The exhibition offers a deeply personal and political portrait of Mali in transformation, told through the eyes of a man who helped his sitters—and his country—be seen.
