Launching the New Museum’s expanded building in Fall 2025, New Humans: Memories of the Future is an ambitious, multi-floor exhibition examining how artists, thinkers, and visionaries have grappled with evolving definitions of what it means to be human in an age of accelerating technological and social transformation.
Spanning the Second, Third, and Fourth Floors, this sweeping show features over 150 international artists, architects, writers, and filmmakers, interweaving the past, present, and speculative futures in a powerful narrative of post-humanity and creative foresight.
Featured contemporary artists include:Sofia Al-Maria, Meriem Bennani, Cyprien Gaillard, Pierre Huyghe, Wangechi Mutu, Precious Okoyomon, Hito Steyerl, Anicka Yi, and many more—alongside iconic figures such as Francis Bacon, Salvador Dalí, H.R. Giger, and Hannah Höch.
