Step into a parallel New York City—Gotham—where imagination rules and community is king. The Sumptuous Discovery of Gotham a Go-Go is a large-scale mural conceived and painted by high school students from across NYC, guided by muralists Victor A. Saint-Hilaire (VASH), DonChristian Jones, and Public Assistants.
Created during DonChristian Jones’s Adobe Creative Residency at MoMA, this project is a visual symphony of youth expression. Students from Academy of American Studies, H.E.R.O. High, and New World High School contributed original characters, landmarks, and narratives that come together in a cityscape rooted in unity and collective vision.
Bright, bold, and unapologetically imaginative, this mural reimagines New York as a thriving ecosystem of care, resilience, and artistic spirit. It’s a love letter to possibility—and a vivid reminder of what happens when young people are empowered to shape their own urban mythology.
