Event Overview Now on view at MoMA through August 2, Jack Whitten: The Messenger is the first retrospective to fully capture the depth and range of one of America’s most influential and experimental abstract artists. Presented in the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Center for Special Exhibitions on Floor 6, the exhibition features over 175 works—including paintings, sculptures, and drawings—that span six decades of fearless invention.
