About the event

Raise Your Voice is a powerful and immersive installation by acclaimed Brooklyn-based artist Amanda Phingbodhipakkiya, now on view at the Museum of the City of New York. Positioned next to the ongoing Activist New York exhibition, this thought-provoking installation invites visitors to reflect on activism, identity, and solidarity in the face of injustice.


Drawing from Phingbodhipakkiya’s public art campaign "We Are More", the project showcases the enduring strength of New York's Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities. It also features moving portraits of iconic activists and allies, including Yuri Kochiyama and Malcolm X, placing their stories in conversation with today’s struggles and voices for change. Through striking visuals and pointed questions, the installation encourages each viewer to tap into their own role in shaping a more just and inclusive society.
