Discover the timeless beauty of J. Pierpont Morgan’s Library, the jewel of The Morgan Library & Museum in New York City. Originally completed in 1906 by renowned architect Charles Follen McKim, the library was built to house the financier’s growing collection of rare books, manuscripts, and cultural treasures. Today, it remains one of the most exquisite examples of American Renaissance architecture.


Visitors can now explore the fully restored interiors, including the East Room, West Room, Rotunda, and—for the first time ever—the North Room, which has been converted into a stunning gallery space. The recent restorations brought back original chandeliers, marble finishes, and historic Persian rugs, while state-of-the-art lighting now illuminates its intricate murals and ceilings.
