About the event

Edward Hopper’s Bedroom: Reimagined is a permanent, immersive installation at the historic Edward Hopper House in Nyack, NY, inviting visitors to walk through the very room where one of America’s most iconic painters found his creative beginnings.

This ongoing exhibition features a thoughtful restaging of Hopper’s childhood bedroom, meticulously designed by Architectural Digest-featured designer Ernest de la Torre and architect Walter Cain. With period-accurate furniture, details true to the early 1900s, and vistas of the Hudson River from the windows, the space evokes the atmosphere that shaped Hopper’s unique visual sensibility.

From the distinctive Hudson River light that streamed through his east-facing windows to the bustling docks and shipyards he observed just steps from home, every element of this room played a role in his fascination with light, solitude, and space—defining themes that endure in his most famous works.

Whether you're a devoted art lover or discovering Hopper for the first time, this intimate experience…
