Event Overview From November 6 to 8, 2025, the New York Philharmonic presents a poignant and powerful program at David Geffen Hall, reflecting on the resilience of the human spirit through music. Under the baton of Dalia Stasevska, the Orchestra honors Ukraine’s cultural and emotional legacy with works shaped by conflict, remembrance, and renewal.


The program opens with Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man—a stirring tribute to human dignity—followed by Grammy-winning violinist Joshua Bell performing Thomas de Hartmann’s Violin Concerto, a deeply expressive work composed during World War II and rediscovered for modern audiences. “It’s both heart-wrenching and uplifting,” says Bell, “as gripping and relevant today as when it was composed.”
