About the event
WORKING KNOWLEDGE: Shared Imaginings, New Futures is a forward-looking exhibition presented by Visions2030 in collaboration with The Bronx Museum, running from April 11 through July 6, 2025. Curated by Vera Petukhova, this thought-provoking project explores the intersection of community, creativity, and speculative futures through an expansive lens of technology, storytelling, and collective consciousness.
Featuring works from a dynamic roster of artists—including Zainab Aliyu + American Artist and the School For Poetic Computation, Black Quantum Futurism, Stephanie Dinkins, Melanie Hoff, Mary Mattingly, Ari Melenciano, Azikiwe Mohammed, Kite & Alisha B Wormsley, and Lynne Yun—the exhibition invites viewers to imagine new realities and reconfigure knowledge systems.
This immersive experience encourages participation, critical inquiry, and visionary thinking. Whether through digital experimentation, poetic computation, or Afrofuturist frameworks, each work challenges the boundaries of what knowledge can be—and who gets to define it.
