Join Ballet Hispánico for a spectacular evening honoring 55 years of cultural excellence. The Gala begins at 5:30 PM on Thursday, May 29, 2025, with a pre-performance reception and a special presentation of CARMEN.maquia, a contemporary reimagining of Bizet’s classic opera, choreographed by Gustavo Ramírez Sansano. Following the performance, guests will proceed to the Ziegfeld Ballroom for a tribute, dinner, and dancing, featuring live music by the Spanish Harlem Orchestra and performances by students from the Ballet Hispánico School of Dance. The evening's attire is creative black tie, with the theme "A Night at the Tropicana."
This milestone event honors Henry R. Muñoz III with the Nuestra Inspiración Award for his significant contributions to the Latino community and the arts. Proceeds support Ballet Hispánico’s Company, School of Dance, and Community Arts Partnerships, continuing its mission to empower and celebrate Latinx culture through dance.
