From November 6, 2025, to March 16, 2026, MoMA PS1 presents the U.S. debut of Ayoung Kim’s groundbreaking trilogy, Delivery Dancer, along with an exciting new video work. Known for redefining digital storytelling, Ayoung Kim fuses AI-generated visuals, live-action footage, and game engines to build imaginative yet unsettling landscapes where labor, identity, and technology converge.
At the center of this ambitious exhibition are En Storm and Ernst Mo—two female delivery workers whose names (anagrams of “monster”) hint at the monstrous expectations placed on gig workers. Set against real-world urban backdrops and digital dreamscapes, Kim’s work unfolds as “pandemic fiction,” reflecting the exponential rise of gig economies in Korea and the U.S., and probing how capitalist societies incentivize self-optimization at all costs.
