The second race in the TCS New York City Marathon Training Series—an 18-mile endurance-builder—unfolds in the iconic landscape of Central Park. As part of a thoughtfully designed program from New York Road Runners, this series helps runners refine their fueling strategies, pace plans, and mental game in a real-race environment before marathon day on November 2.
The first installment—a 12-miler held in August—offered a foundation. Now, this 18-miler brings runners closer to full marathon condition, with critical long-run experience embedded into a structured, supportive race day.
