On Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 8:00 AM, runners descend on Staten Island for one of New York’s most visually striking races: the Staten Island Half. This is the final event in the 2025 NYRR Five-Borough Series—and the last qualifying race in the 4 Out of 6 program for guaranteed entry into the 2026 United Airlines NYC Half.
Just three weeks before the TCS New York City Marathon, this half marathon offers an ideal tune-up, featuring unforgettable views of New York Harbor and the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge. With a fall breeze and crisp air along the waterfront, this race brings runners face to face with their goals—and the edge of the city.
