From Thursday, August 28 to Monday, September 1, 2025, Brooklyn erupts into vibrant celebration as the New York Caribbean Carnival takes over the borough. Organized by the West Indian American Day Carnival Association (WIADCA), this five-day cultural phenomenon is one of North America’s largest parades, attracting more than 1.5 million people each year.
Centered around Lefferts Avenue and neighboring streets in Brooklyn, the event showcases the full spectrum of Caribbean heritage, blending music, masquerade, food, fashion, and pride in a city that thrives on diversity.
