About the event
The New York Yacht Club Annual Regatta, now in its 171st edition, returns to Newport, Rhode Island, from June 13–15, 2025, bringing together tradition, elite competition, and a picturesque sailing backdrop for a truly prestigious event.
This historic regatta—first held in 1845 on the Hudson River—is now a centerpiece of the East Coast sailing calendar, featuring:
Three days of high-level racing, including the separately scored Around-the-Island Race on Friday, June 13
A mix of ORC, PHRF, One-Design, and CRF classes, with custom starts available for interested fleets
Two days of buoy and navigator-course racing on June 14 & 15, continuing a format that's been a staple for over a decade
Hosted from the New York Yacht Club’s Harbour Court, offering world-class facilities and a prime vantage point in Newport’s historic sailing community
