This deeply imaginative exhibition features works made between 2012 and 2024, offering a sharp, satirical, and frequently surreal lens on American pop culture, cultism, and personal mythologies.
Through intricate drawings influenced by vintage advertising, comic books, dreamscapes, and psychedelic aesthetics, Shaw explores the absurdities, contradictions, and visual lexicon of a culture constantly caught between nostalgia and chaos. His graphite renderings and flashes of color portray everything from dancing laundry to wiglike lovers, octopus-church visions, and alien souls rendered in sinuous text.
